Parent and Community Involvement

The Board of Education of USD 500 is committed to building a strong partnership with parents, families and community members to achieve academic and behavioral success for all children.  Our parents, community and staff are diverse in culture, language and needs; we all share the District’s and our school’s commitment to the educational success of our children.

There are many levels of parent involvement and we are committed to provide opportunities for parents, families and community members that meet family interests, schedules and utilize talents.

To this, Morse/Lamb Early Childhood Center, in conjunction with the Board of Education, will:

  • Provide parents with education, information and support in setting high expectations for their children and in creating a supportive environment at home for children to learn, practice skills, be read to and explore.
  • Establish effective two-way communication with all parents, respecting the diversity and differing needs of families.
  • Bring together parents, families and community members with resources and programming that provide educational enrichment and support for academic achievement.
