Family Engagement

Involvement is a necessary step to start engagement with families.  Child attendance, family events, and Home Visits and Conferences are all a part of involvement.

Engagement leads to quality involvement and meaningful change.  It is a relationship built on trust, mutual respect, encouragement and safety.  This leads to positive child and family outcomes such as:  healthy and Kindergarten ready children; families will be engaged in the school and in their communities; program will achieve higher levels of quality.

One of the expectations of the Early Childhood Program is to develop strong relationships with families.  We do this through Home Visits and Parent Conferences.  Each student will have 2 Home Visits per year and 2 Parent Conferences per year.  Our Preschool Calendar has 2 days set aside for Home Visits in August before school begins.  Each month has a Home Visit day included in the calendar.
