Birthday Celebrations

Birthday celebrations are important occasions for preschool aged children.  Such celebrations, however, are not meant to disrupt the instruction of a school day.  Parents are encouraged to contact the child’s classroom teacher well in advance of the child’s birthday and inquire about an appropriate time for the child to celebrate with his/her classmates.  Individually wrapped treats or commercially made treat items may be shared with students.  In lieu of edible treats, parents are also encouraged to bring items suggested by the teacher for the classroom such as puzzles, board games, pencils, markers, books, and the like.
